Erik Feyen is Head of Global Macro-Financial Monitoring in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation (FCI) Global Practice, at the World Bank Group. In this capacity, he leads the global monitoring and analysis of key macro-financial vulnerabilities and trends. He advises on fintech-related country operations, and regularly coordinates IMF - World Bank collaborative efforts such as the Bali Fintech Agenda and the joint staff position on the regulatory and supervisory implications for the banking sector stemming from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Harish Natarajan is a Lead Financial Sector Specialist with the Payment Systems Development Group, at the World Bank. He is a core member of the cross-sectoral teams in the World Bank working on Universal Financial Access 2020, ID for Development, Government payments, Digital Economy and Fintech. Harish represents the World Bank in the working groups of the Committee on Payment Market Infrastructures (CPMI) at the Bank for International Settlements and FinTech related working groups at the Financial Stability Board (FSB). See full profile

Matthew Saal is a Principal Industry Specialist in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Matthew¡¯s work at FIG covers digital financial services and financial infrastructure advisory work, partnerships, and investments in innovative financial services providers. During 2018-2019 Matthew was a World Bank Presidential Fellow seconded to the FCI Global Practice, focused on fintech policy and fintech for inclusion. Prior to joining IFC, Matthew was Associate Director in the Local Currency and Capital Markets Development initiative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Tatiana Alonso Gispert is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist in the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank Group, where she supports the global engagement and the country work agendas towards stable, effective, and inclusive financial systems. She has extensive experience and expertise in the fields of public policy and prudential regulation, with a focus on financial stability and development. 

Oya Ardic is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist at the Payment Systems Development Group (PSDG) of the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank Group. Her work focuses on the area of Universal Financial Access and Payment Aspects of Financial Inclusion (PAFI), international remittances and cross border payments, models for electronic payments acceptance, retail payments strategies, social protection payments, and national financial inclusion strategies. 

Gian Boeddu is a Senior Financial Sector in the Financial Inclusion and Consumer Protection Team of the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank. Gian is an experienced financial services regulatory lawyer and policy expert and at the World Bank he works primarily in the areas of financial consumer protection regulation, market conduct supervision, data protection and consumer issues in fintech and digital financial services. See full profile

Ana Carvajal is a Lead Financial Sector Economist in the Long-Term Finance Unit in the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank. Ana is a former securities markets regulator. At the World Bank her work focuses on capital markets development, regulation and supervision. Ana represents the Bank at the International Organization of Securities Commissions.

Pierre-Laurent Chatain is a Lead Financial Sector Specialist in the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank where he contributes to the financial stability and integrity agenda, with a focus on policy reforms and financial sector development in emerging economies. He also oversees the Financial Sector Assessment Program and contributes to the work of Standard Setting Bodies, including the FSB. He has extensive experience in financial integrity, banking regulation and supervision.  

Jennifer Chien is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist and a part of the Financial Inclusion and Consumer Protection team in the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank. She is an experienced lawyer with expertise in policy and regulatory environments for financial inclusion, consumer protection, and digital finance. She works on consumer protection regulatory reform and capacity-building, financial inclusion assessments, national financial inclusion strategies, and global knowledge products. See full profile

Dorothee Delort has been a Senior Financial Sector Specialist in the Payment Systems Development Group of the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank since November 2012. She has been involved in national payments system reforms, financial market infrastructures (FMIs) and retail payment systems technical assistance, lending projects and FSAP in several countries. 

Tatiana Didier is a Senior Economist currently working at the Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Finance Hub in Malaysia. Tatiana has played a leading role in several policy engagements related to corporate and MSME financing, competition, and overall development of financial markets, fintech and sustainable finance. She is the author of several flagship reports and her research, spanning topics in international financial economics, corporate financing, and global capital markets, has been published in top field journals.

Matei Dohotaru is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank Group. His work focuses on the area of financial integrity, financial stability and SupTech. He has extensive experience and expertise in the field of banking supervision and regulation. 

Jose Antonio Garcia Garcia Luna is a Senior Consultant with the Payment Systems Development Group of the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank Group. He has specialized mostly in systemically important payment systems and other financial market infrastructures (FMIs), in the implementation of strategies for the development of retail payment systems and services, and in improving the efficiency and soundness of government payments.

Ivor Istuk is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist and a part of the Financial Inclusion and Consumer Protection team in the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank Group. He is a financial sector lawyer with expertise in financial innovation, financial consumer protection, MSME access to finance and financial inclusion.  Previously, Ivor was a practicing lawyer where he was advising clients on various aspects of financial law and regulation matters. See full profile

Robert Paul Heffernan is a Senior Investment Officer with the IFC. He specializes in debt and equity investments with banks, non-bank financial institutions, and insurance companies. He has also more recently focused on mitigating risk of money laundering and the financing of terrorism in banks through advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning within bank systems.

Luis Maldonado is a Consultant for IFC and the World Bank with work focusing on the digital economy and sustainability. He has held senior positions both in the public and in the private sector, as advisor to the Minister of Finance of Spain, Director of Strategic Consulting at PwC, CSO for Bankia, and advisor to the Managing Director of the IMF. Currently, he is also a Professor at IE University.

Ruth Llovet Montanes is an Economist in the World Bank¡¯s Young Professionals Program working in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice for Latin America and the Caribbean. Her work focuses on economic development, distributional impacts of fiscal policy, and poverty. She has also conducted empirical research on cross-border capital flows, firms¡¯ capital market financing, and digital finance. 

Danilo Palermo is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist in the FCI Global Practice at the World Bank Group, where he assists countries in developing and implementing bank resolution frameworks and deposit guarantee schemes. He is also the World Bank¡¯s representative at the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) and the deputy-representative at the FSB¡¯s Resolution Steering Group. 

Ariadne Plaitakis is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with CGAP with over 20 years of extensive on-hands experience in digital finance and payments regulation, open banking, financial inclusion, privacy/data protection, e-commerce, competition law, and consumer protection in the EU and emerging markets. Her most recent projects for CGAP include open banking/PSD2, payment interoperability, and competition in digital financial services. 

Arpita Sarkar Financial Sector Consultant with the Financial Inclusion, Access and Infrastructure team of the FCI Global Practice of the World Bank Group. Her areas of work mainly focus on use of fintech and digital financial services for increasing financial inclusion and access. She also works on financial consumer protection and digital finance focused country diagnostics. 

Miguel Soriano is a Senior Operations Officer with the Financial Institutions Group at the IFC Corporation. He leads the Upstream efforts for the East Asia Pacific region, covering Indonesia, China, Philippines and the Pacific Islands.

Ghada Teima is a Principal Operations Officer with the IFC. She focuses on digital inclusion and small and medium enterprise finance. Previously, she has managed Access to Finance advisory operations in Latin America and the Caribbean and has previously worked in the Middle East and North Africa region on related topics. She has led IFC Small and Medium Enterprise Finance Advisory Practice globally as well as led the IFC/ World Bank G20 SME Finance Working Group. 

John Wilson is a Senior Operations Officer with the IFC. He has over 15 years¡¯ experience in the development and implementation of secured transactions systems and collateral registries at the multilateral and local level, and the use of those systems in the development of asset-based lending products and technology for greater access to finance for MSMEs. Previously, he served as Senior Officer with the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law in Rome.
