Macro Poverty Outlook for East Asia and the Pacific

Country-by-country analysis and projections for the developing world

Overview

The Macro Poverty Outlook (MPO) analyzes macroeconomic and poverty developments in 23 developing countries in East Asia and the Pacific. The report is released twice annually for the Spring and Annual Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The MPO consists of individual country notes that provide an overview of recent developments, forecasts of major macroeconomic variables and poverty during 2024-2026, and a discussion of critical challenges for economic growth, macroeconomic stability, and poverty reduction moving forward.
