The Changing Wealth of Nations presents a comprehensive accounting of our collective wealth. A country¡¯s wealth includes: all produced capital, such as factories and roads; natural capital, like forests and water; the human capital of healthy productive people, which leads to earnings; and net foreign assets. Only by having a clear understanding of our world¡¯s wealth¡ªincluding all forms of capital¡ªcan we plan for a more sustainable future. The latest edition of the World Bank¡¯s The Changing Wealth of Nations for 2021 tracks the wealth of 146 countries between 1995 and 2018. The goal is to help governments and investors chart the path to a more sustainable future.
