In Turkey, the SME Energy Efficiency Project reached more than 300 Small and Medium Size Enterprises in the country and have invested approximately $262 million in their energy efficiency. These investments saved approximately 10 million MWh of energy. Greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced by about 400,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to about 1.5 million cars never being used again. In addition, operating costs have been reduced and higher quality product output has begun.
