Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) is a global program hosted in the World Bank's Development Research Group. Its purpose is to increase the use of impact evaluation in the design and implementation of public policy and increase institutional capacity and motivation for evidence-based policy.

DIME is collaborating with a group of World Bank and academic experts to develop an analytical framework to improve the quality and policy relevance of impact evaluations of development interventions designed to address fragility, conflict, and violence (FCV). The group is in the process of writing ‘white papers’ in prioritized areas (jobs, sexual and gender-based violence, civil service delivery and urban crime and violence) to identify key conflict drivers; compile current evidence on how well development programming is (or is not) addressing these drivers; and develop a research agenda on how existing knowledge and programmatic gaps can be closed. The objective of this workshop is to discuss preliminary research for the white papers and to get early input from World Bank practitioners.
