Keiko Inoue is the Practice Manager for Education in South Asia Region based in Bangkok, Thailand. She oversees strategy development, program delivery, and knowledge management for a portfolio exceeding US$6 billion. She has more than 20 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary investment projects and diagnostics covering the spectrum from early childhood development to school-to-work transition to workforce development, as well as addressing related challenges such as out of school children and youth, gender disparity, and a lack of access to good jobs. She has worked in over 20 countries spanning Africa, East Asia, Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and South Asia regions. Prior to her current role, she served as the World Bank¡¯s Human Development Practice Leader for Bangladesh and Bhutan (based in Bangkok) and Vietnam (based in Hanoi). Prior to joining the Bank, she taught at Stanford University. Keiko holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and M.A. and Ph.D. from Stanford University.
