Hideki Mori is the World Bank¡¯s Operations Manager for India. He joined the New Delhi Office in July 2020.
Hideki, a Japanese national, joined the World Bank in 1993 through the Young Professionals Program. In the earlier years, he worked on education and social protection in Latin America, the Caribbean Region, Europe and Central Asia Region. Since then, he has held several leadership positions, including Human Development Country Sector Coordinator for Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus; Young Professionals Program Manager; Rapid Social Response Program Manager; and most recently, Country Manager for Uzbekistan before joining the India Team.
Prior to the World Bank, Hideki worked for the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile. He holds an MBA from Duke University, an M.A. in International Development from the American University and a Bachelor of Agriculture from Tokyo University.
