Arlen Yahir Guarin Galeano

Economist, Development Impact (DIME), Development Economics

Arlen is an Economist in Development Impact (DIME) department at the World Bank. He completed his PhD in Economics at UC Berkeley in 2022.

Arlen focuses in applying labor economics methods and usual impact evaluation approaches to analyze the economics behind policies targeted to vulnerable populations, especially those in fragile contexts. His current research includes studying the impacts of reparations, humanitarian aid, health and economic inclusion programs in Colombia, Kenya, South Sudan, and Yemen.
