Session 3 of the conference on "Globalization: Contents and Discontents" took place on January 15, 2019 and focused on Social Transformation and Cultural Identity. The session included a presentation by Sulin Sardoschau (German Center for Integration and Migration Research) on "International Migration and Cultural Convergence" and Michael Woolcock (World Bank) on "Myanmar as a ¡®Natural Experiment¡¯ in the Effects of Globalization: Insights from a Qualitative Household Panel Survey, 2012-2016".
