Session 1 of the conference on "Globalization: Contents and Discontents" took place on January 15, 2019 and focused on Macroeconomics and Finance. The session included a presentation by Luis Serven (World Bank) on "Openness, Specialization, and the External Vulnerability of Developing Countries" and Davide Furceri (IMF) on "The Aggregate and Distributional Effects of Financial Globalization: Evidence from Macro and Sectoral Data".
