With increasing migration from rural areas and expansion of ger areas, Ulaanbaatar city maintains some of the highest air pollution levels worldwide. Given the severity of air pollution in Ulaanbaatar, a larger and more concerted effort is needed to reduce heating-related emissions in ger districts.
