Since 2002, Lao PDR¡¯s Poverty Reduction Fund has been working to develop rural areas and improve the lives households living in rural areas. The PRF emphasizes the participation of the poor, including ethnic groups, to ensure that their voices are heard, needs are met, and that development planning between villages and districts are better coordinated.
