Mozambique is moving to adopt a REDD+ strategy sustainably protect its unique Miombo woodlands with the help of CIF, the Climate Investment Funds. Working closely with the World Bank Group, Mozambique is learning important lessons in management, technology and governance from Brazil, which has dramatically decreased deforestation since 2004.
