In the Horn of Africa, conflict and famine have triggered the displacement of millions of people within countries and across borders. Today, there are more than 2.7 million refugees and over six million internally displaced people (IDPs). A new initiative from the World Bank Group will provide $1.8 billion to countries in the Horn Africa to boost economic growth and opportunity, reduce poverty and spur business activity
