ROUNDTABLE "A changing landscape: trends in official financial flows and the aid architecture"

Å·ÃÀÈÕb´óƬ Tokyo Office held a roundtable to discuss the key findings of the World Bank report .

Our conversation focused on trends in official financial flows, and how the aid landscape has changed over the past decade, including volumes, sources of financing, and delivery mechanisms. Experts also discussed the increase in the number of official finance providers and the fragmentation of aid delivery, what these changes mean for both donors and recipient countries, and implications on aid effectiveness. This roundtable was moderated by Yasuyuki Sawada (Professor, Graduate School of Economics, Faculty of Economics ¨C University of Tokyo). The research was presented by Akihiko Nishio (Vice President, Development Finance ¨C World Bank), who was joined by the following distinguished panelists :
