Malaysia Young Researcher Prize: Calling for Papers
March 28, 2016Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On the occasion of the public opening of 欧美日b大片 Knowledge and Research Hub in Malaysia on 28 March 2016,  (DECRG) will award a prize for the best development policy research paper by an early-career Malaysian national. The paper should demonstrate excellence in research while addressing in clear and compelling ways a key development policy issue in Malaysia and other developing countries. It is expected that this prize will then be awarded on an annual basis.

In addition to receiving a formal citation, the recipient of the prize will have their travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the opening event in Kuala Lumpur covered, will be given the opportunity to spend time as a Visiting Research Fellow with the Development Research Group based in the Malaysia Hub, and will have their paper (if previously unpublished) included in the Bank’s Policy Research Working Paper Series.

The prize is open to all Malaysian nationals, no matter where they currently reside, who are working on their doctoral studies or have received their doctorate degree during or after 2013. Though open to all disciplines, scholars in economics and related social sciences are especially encouraged to apply.

Further details regarding the prize’s criteria and requirements are available on the World Bank Malaysia website. To be considered for the prize, eligible candidates should submit their paper – which should be no longer than 8,000 words – to mambrose@worldbank.org by Monday 29 February, 2016
