The seminar is organized annually for senior officials from central banks and supervisory authorities from around the world at the level of Governor/Deputy Governor or Head of Banking Supervision.

This year, the Seminar focused on the Global Financial Sector Reform, five years after, analyzing whether the reform agenda is addressing the root causes of the crisis.

The seminar provides a forum for policy makers to come together with practitioners – both public and private – to

1) take stock of the regulatory reform initiatives,
2) discuss whether the reform measures implemented have led to economic growth,
3) identify emerging risks and the tools to address them,
4) assess the impact of the regulatory reform on emerging markets,
5) discuss the regulatory and supervisory challenges in resource-constrained countries, and preview the challenges ahead.
