Jung Ryun Byun

J. Sophie Byun, a Korean national, joined the Subnational B-READY team in 2024. Byun co-leads the Property Transfer topic in European Union countries and coordinates with the global B-READY team on this issue. With seven years of extensive experience across the World Bank Group, she has deep expertise in assessing the sectors on the economic and development impact of infrastructure and microfinance. Byun has also contributed to the publication of several annual reports analyzing private investment flows in low- and middle-income countries. She holds master鈥檚 degrees in business administration from Georgetown University and international affairs from Columbia University. Byun speaks Korean and French.
