Dr. Wilfred Lus is the World Bank¡¯s Senior Mining Specialist for Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands, based in Port Moresby.
As part of his role, Dr Lus oversees the and the World Bank¡¯s advisory and analytical work in energy and extractives across Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.
Dr. Lus has a PhD in Earth Sciences from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science (Honours-First Class) in Geology from the University of Papua New Guinea.
He has worked as a geologist for a number of extractive companies in PNG and overseas, and as lecturer in Geology at the University of Papua New Guinea prior to joining the World Bank in 2017.
