Kimm Gnangnon is Senior Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region at the World Bank. Prior to that position, he worked as Economist at the World Trade Organization (WTO), including as part of the team that services the WTO¡¯s Committee on Trade and Development (2016-2023), and as the WTO¡¯s Focal Point on matters pertaining to the Least Developed Countries (LDC) (2013-2015). He also served as Economist at the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) (2011-2013), Statistical Officer at the WTO (2008-2009), and Consultant at the French Agency for Development (2007).

His research interests cover macro-related trade and development issues. His work has been published in academic journals such as Economic Modelling; Economics of Transition and Institutional Change; Information Economics and Policy; International Economics and Economic Policy; Journal of the Japanese and International Economies; Journal of International Trade and Economic Development; Journal of International Development; the CESifo Economic Studies; Review of Development Economics; Structural Change and Economic Dynamics; World Development; and the World Economy.

He holds a PhD degree in Development Economics and Master degrees respectively in Development Economics, and Project Management from CERDI (Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le D¨¦veloppement International), University of Clermont-Ferrand (France). He also holds a degree in Statistics from the Institut National d'Economie, University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin).
