Jangro Lee, a Korean national, has been the World Bank Group Alternate Executive Director for the Asia and the Pacific Constituency since November 2024.
Prior to joining the Board, Jangro Lee held senior positions in the Ministry of Economy and Finance and served on presidential committees focused on digital platform government, green growth, and national balanced growth (2021-2024/2016-2018).
Mr. Lee joined the International Finance Corporation, providing transaction advisory services on Public-Private Partnerships (2018-2021). He has also served as a director in various bureaus within the Ministry of Economy and Finance, including the budget, international finance, fiscal policy, fiscal management, and policy coordination bureaus. He began his career with the Korean government in 1995.
Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor¡¯s degree in Economics from Seoul National University and a Master¡¯s degree in Economics from American University.
