The global objective of this assessment is to inform the design of the upcoming economic inclusion program (supported under the INSON project and implemented by NASP) by providing a comprehensive assessment of the economic activities of the target population; the challenges they meet; potential economic opportunities that exist in their localities. The assessment should adopt a climate change and gender sensitive lens. The assessment will be implemented in the 4 districts chosen for the pilot. It will include a specific focus on the relevant climate-resilient agri-food system technologies for each district and assess both the opportunities and challenges involved in the distribution; access; and use of CSA technologies among the poor and vulnerable groups like low-income households; and women. The assessment will provide the 4 key outcomes:* An assessment of the economic activities of the target population (cf. methodology section below) and the specific constraints linked to gender and climate in the targeted districts.* An assessment of economic opportunities and existing services and programs accessible in the localities.* An assessment of the climate-resilient agri-food system technologies that are currently available; in use or not; in the 4 districts; to help farmers adapt to changing climate conditions; improve resource efficiency; increase resilience; and reduce the environmental footprint of agricultural activities; including the identification of both the opportunities and challenges involved in the distribution; access; and use of these technologies among the poor and vulnerable groups like low-income households; rural communities; and women.* Clear and specific recommendations on the design of the economic inclusion program that will be implemented by NASP to increase the productivity and resilience of poor and vulnerable households. The recommendations should focus on the measures includes in the package of services as well as operational considerations that should be taken into consideration to maximize impact and costs effectiveness (beneficiaries criteria; inclusive and gender-sensitive services design; service providers and actors to include; etc.).Please find the attachment for detail.
